The unavoidable condition for creation of an atmosphere of confidence - that is the need for Azerbaijan to guarantee the immediate return of Armenian prisoners of war and other detained persons. The use of the issue of POWs for political reasons is unacceptable.

As we have heard of multiple international community and institutions condemning the war and aggression, the voices of targeted assessment and calls to stop the war needed to be heard much louder. We need to address the humanitarian issues and we need to do so not only in order to alleviate the pain of those undergoing the sufferings of war, but for another and a very important reason – to prevent them from happening in future, to prevent their repetition.
